We encourage children to ask questions and explore the world around them through lessons in the classroom, as well as projects and activities in the forest. Our learning is acredited through the Pearson iPrimary curriculum which is all about discovery.
We motivate each child to think critically, work together and explore the world around them by focusing on building knowledge, confidence, resilience and a strong sense of curiosity.
Primary:
5 to 7 year olds

We make learning exciting with plenty of time spent outdoors. Our children start off their educational journey with confidence and curiosity. FISP is such a wonderful place to grow and discover!

Sycamore & Maple Class
Our Primary programme is all about blending learning with outdoor exploration. Children take part in engaging classroom lessons, but at the same time they a big part of our approach is the hands-on, exploratory learning in the forest. By being outside, children can more effectively connect the "theory" with actual learned. Whilst it is important that we assess progress, we make sure that every child is given personalised support.
With class sizes no more than 12, we look to add renewed positivity each day, keeping learning fresh and fun. Outdoor projects, termly field trips and creative activities give children the space to grow, build confidence, and develop as they discovery. At FISP, we provide a dynamic mix of structured learning and adventure, where each child can lead the way!
ESL & FLE
Accepting children at all levels, our approach to English as a Second Language (ESL) and Français Langue Étrangère (FLE) is all about immersion, where children are surrounded by language in a natural way. Whether they’re singing, playing or are outside in the forest, they begin to develop the fluency needed to communicate confidently.
In our Primary section we dedicate 5.5 hours of French language lessons each week, when we focus on building strong foundations, helping children become comfortable speaking.
